s.106 planning criteria applies - "Locality Defined” means the administrative area of the parishes of Bootle; Ennerdale and Kinniside; Eskdale; Irton with Santon; Muncaster; Ulpha; Waberthwaite; Wasdale; and those parts of the Parishes of: Drigg and Carleton; Gosforth; Lamplugh; Millom Without; Ponsonby; and Whicham; which are situated within the Lake District National Park. Applicants must have a local connection to one of these areas by either living there for last 3 years, working there for last 6 months at least 16 hours or more a week, previously lived there for 3 years and returning to area after completing a post secondary education course, lived there for 3 years immediately previously and in accommodation beyond their control/institution, need to live in one of those areas to receive or give substantial medical care to a relative, lived in the area for 3 years and wants to move back to that area within 3 years of leaving. Also those who are serving or have served in the armed forces in the last 5 years under part 6 of the 1996 Act, is serving or has served in reserve forces and suffering from a serious injury, illness or disability which was attributable to their service, has recently left or is due to leave Ministry of Defence accommodation following death of spouse/civil partner where the spouse/civil partner has served in the regular forces and their death was related to their service. .
